Swimming sessions run all year round with a break for Christmas week, Easter week and the month of August.

Equipment can be bought through the club shop . Personal training equipment is needed from Swordfish level upwards, for example: swim hat, goggles, fins, kick-boards, pull-bouy

All other squads pay an annual membership, annual ASA membership and monthly squad fees. Full details can be found on the Fees page.

When choosing swimmers for the different squads a number of factors are considered by the coaches such as: age, attitude and ability.

If you have any queries about your child's swimming please speak to the coach.

Thursday afternoon seession is a school link option available to secondary school age Sharks as well as the school children

Training Equipment

Everyone must have a swimming costume (jammers) and a towel. Bermuda short style are not appropriate.

Swimmers often enjoy keeping a log book of their times to follow their swimming progress in terms of Personal best (PB) times.

Commitment to the club

As part of the club swimmers, from Swordfish onwards, may enter various galas: open, league, club galas. More details of the galas can be found on the Gala page. When entering licensed galas the swimmer needs to have ASA category 2 Swimming membership.

Swimmers are expected to make themsleves available to swim in galas when selected to do so. It is a requirement of the club as it improves their swimming abilities and increases the enjoyment of swimming as a club. It is part of their swimming progression and enhances club atmosphere and reputation.
